A wood urn turned from Texas Mesquite. Capacity is 210 cu. in. which means it is likely of sufficient size to handle the remains of an adult. This piece of wood has beautiful grain and figure showing the stress and strain it experiences in it's life. All cracks and voids are sealed and stabilized. The lid is connected with a brass threaded insert. A featured band and portion of the lid is cut and burned then inked and painted. The knob has mineral inlay as does the inside of the lid and a portion of the bark feature on the body of the urn. The finish on the urn is multiple coats of penetrating oil. This is an urn meant to be displayed and meant to honor the life of the loved one that it holds. 12" tall, 8" wide.
